EcologyEcologyUnlike most businesses, RealityRipple Software literally runs on a negative carbon footprint directly, with no financial credits or other cheap measures to bypass being "green". All software is written on computers powered by 100% solar, with no grid connection, no coal, and no gasoline involved. Our backup batteries are Lithium Iron Phosphate, which are incombustible, do not contain Cobalt, and do not release gasses.
RealityRipple Software also resides on a plot of over 200 acres of almost entirely untouched wild forest, with many habitats and ecosystems involved. Carbon is naturally filtered out of the air, water is collected and filtered into the ground, and oxygen is replenished into the atmosphere, all with zero human intervention. No harmful pesticides have ever been used in this environment, and the natural springs on the property are all perfectly pH balanced, providing a safe and protected area for uncounted forms of undisturbed, native wildlife.
RealityRipple Software does not directly make use of any vehicles or other means of transport to create or maintain the software on this website, and uses recyclable products and packaging wherever possible, actively recycling those products as much as local recycling centers allow. Old hardware is regularly repurposed, refurbished, or safely disposed of according to local regulations and California law.
Regular cleaning is done without disposable "canned air" or cleaning solutions, instead using a small air compressor designed for use with computer equipment, meaning no chemicals are released into the atmosphere during routine maintenance. Any devices or components that must be replaced before reaching the end of their lifespan are repurposed or sold for re-use. Many devices in use at RealityRipple Software are "used" or "refurbished", to prevent premature disposal of otherwise functional hardware.
Air conditioning is handled through insultation rather than cooling products that might use toxic compounds such as antifreeze. No A/C unit is installed on the premises, relying instead on sufficient insulation and double-paned windows. No chlorofluorocarbons, hydrofluorocarbons, hydrochlorofluorocarbons, benzenes, toluenes, or formaldehydes are used, ever.
